Movement Workshops

Artistic Interventions/Dance Conferences

The movement workshops are a moment where we leave our seats as spectators and are brought through the creative process with artists from the art collective. During the workshop the students become dancers, musicians, technicians, and put into place the images that they see in their head.
A time to observe and to experiment the world differently. The work is shown in form of an exposition or in a theatrical space.
These workshops can take place on school grounds or in a professional environment. No age or level requirements.

2007/2008

PATRIMOINE SONORE ET PATRIMOINE CONSTRUIT (Historical Sound and Historical Construction)
Interdisciplinary workshops at the museum : Musée Château d'Annecy (74) Exploring different creative processes while taking into account the sounds of the city and architectural elements. Music, improvisation, choreography, painting, collage...

"LE BAL DES GRANDES POUPÉES" (The Ball of the Dolls)

The students first make a doll that ressembles them and they are invited to create a new world of dance that revolves around their puppet/doll. Themes explored: the dream of growing up, intercontinental travels, and cooking recipes- depending on the age of the groups.

"DU NOIR AU BLANC ET VICE VERSA" (From black to white and vice versa)

Work on the mise en abîme with the use of projected videos. Source “Alice in Wonderland” by Lewis Carroll, from this source a dance is written and the children make a mini-world in a box in which their filmed dance is projected into.

"DANS LE MONDE D'ALICE" (In Alice’s World)

"LA PARTIE D'ÉCHEC" (A game of checkers)
Cultural event 2008 : l'Espace Culturel LA TRAVERSE du Bourget du Lac (73)
One full day, with 80 students from age 10-20, all from different schools, one common goal- create a one time, on the spot show. A spontaneous show based on optic art and black and white where music meets dance. A 20 minute film was produced from this event and a series of photos.

"LA MORT DU SIGNE ACTE 2" (The dying swan : Act 2)
30 students, 5th grade from 2 different schools: Collège G.Sand de La Motte Servolex (73). They created the first act « LA MORT DU SIGNE »
Dance, music, visual arts all tied together for a piece made by the students and the professionals.

EVEIL DU MUSICIEN-DANSEUR (Musician-Dancer Training)
Project with the music school : Ecole de Musique du Bourget du Lac (73),
innovative pedagogy written by Emilie Camacho et Cécile Pérot),

One hour a week a dancer and musician work together to find the common points of these two disciplines and share the experience with students age 5-7.
